Card billing is the default way to pay for advertising on Previse. Previse charges your card each time your spend with no invoice reaches $500. If your Order with Previse sets a different payment method, the Order applies.
How card billing works
Previse adds up the spend of your campaigns each day. When the spend that has no invoice yet reaches $500, Previse makes an invoice and charges your card.
- A day runs from midnight to midnight, US Eastern Standard Time (UTC−5). Previse adds a day to the total about 6 hours after the day ends.
- One invoice covers every day since your last invoice. Because a full day is added at one time, an invoice total can be more than $500.
- A total below $500 stays open until it reaches $500. Previse does not charge it at the end of the month.
- Previse does not add a card fee to the invoice.
- All amounts are in US dollars.
Add a payment method
Any member of your organization can add or change a card. Previse accepts credit and debit cards.
- In the Previse console, open Billing from the side menu. On a phone, open More, then Billing.
- Select Add payment method. The console opens a secure page from Stripe, our payment provider.
- Type your card details on the Stripe page and save. Stripe sends you back to the console.
Stripe keeps the card number. Previse keeps only the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry date.
Backup card
You can save a second card as a backup. If a charge to the primary card fails, Previse charges the backup card at once. On the Billing page you can make the backup the primary card, or remove either card. When you remove the primary card, the backup card becomes the primary card.
If you remove all of your cards, your campaigns continue to run. After you add a card, Previse charges the open total when it reaches $500.
If a payment fails
A payment fails when the primary card refuses the charge and you have no backup card, or when both cards refuse it. Then:
- Your campaigns stop bidding, and each page of the console shows a message about the failed payment.
- Previse tries the charge again one time each day.
- When you add a new card, or make the backup the primary card, Previse charges the invoice again within about 15 minutes.
When the invoice is paid, your campaigns start again. Their settings and budgets do not change.
Invoices
The Billing page lists each invoice with its date, its total, and its state. Select an invoice to download its PDF. The charge shows as PREVISE on your card statement.
