These Policies are incorporated into the Previse Labs Advertising Services Agreement (Master Terms) and every Order. Capitalized terms used and not defined in these Policies have the meanings given in the Master Terms. Previse may update them from time to time under Section 18.7 of the Master Terms; the current version is posted at previselabs.com/legal/policies.

Previse reviews every Ad before it delivers. Approval is not legal advice and does not shift responsibility for an Ad to Previse. Advertiser remains responsible for its Ads, its claims, and the Destinations its Ads point viewers to.

PART 1. CONTENT POLICY

1.1 Prohibited

Ads may not promote, facilitate, or depict:

  • Illegal products, services, or activity in the delivery geography
  • Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or instructions for making them

  • Adult content, sexual services, or sexually explicit or suggestive material
  • Counterfeit goods, or goods infringing a third party’s trademark or copyright
  • Hacking, spyware, surveillance of individuals, credential theft, or circumvention tools
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, “get rich quick” offers, and payday or predatory lending
  • Content that is hateful, harassing, or that demeans a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic
  • Content that is deceptive, fraudulent, or makes false or unsubstantiated claims
  • Malware, deceptive download prompts, or misleading interface elements
  • Content that exploits a tragedy, crisis, or sensitive news event for commercial gain

Previse does not accept political, election, or issue advertising for delivery in Washington State, and may decline any political advertising, or any political advertising in a given jurisdiction, at its discretion.

Children’s productsAdvertiser may not target children or child-directed inventory; see 1.3

1.3 Audience Restrictions

  • No targeting of, or delivery to, individuals known or reasonably believed to be under 18.
  • No delivery to services or content that are child-directed under COPPA. Advertiser will not knowingly submit ads for child-directed placement.
  • No targeting or exclusion on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, health condition, immigration status, or union membership.
  • Ads for housing, employment, credit, or insurance are special ad categories: targeting is restricted to broad geography and may not use audience segments that correlate with protected characteristics. Advertiser must designate these campaigns as a special ad category in the Previse platform.

1.4 Destinations

CTV ads are generally not clickable. “Destination” has the meaning given in Master Terms §1.1. These rules apply to whichever form of Destination an ad uses.

  • The Destination must work, load promptly, and match the Ad’s claims and offer.
  • A QR code, on-screen URL, or search prompt must resolve to the advertised offer, not to a generic homepage or an unrelated page.
  • No interstitials, redirect chains, forced downloads, or content unrelated to the Ad. No imitation system notifications, fake error or update messages, fake close or navigation controls, browser setting or history manipulation, or requests for device permissions beyond what the offer requires.
  • Sites that collect any personal or payment information must use HTTPS.
  • A clear, accessible privacy policy and, where required, a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link must be present.
  • Contact information and, for ecommerce, shipping, return, and refund policies must be readily accessible.

1.5 Claims and Disclosures

  • All claims must be truthful and substantiated at the time of the Ad’s delivery. Previse may request substantiation.
  • Material connections in testimonials and endorsements must be disclosed under the FTC Endorsement Guides.
  • Disclosures must be legible on a television screen at normal viewing distance: on-screen at least four (4) seconds, high contrast, and not obscured.
  • No false urgency and no clickbait. An Ad may not represent an offer as time-limited, closing, or scarce when it is not, and may not use sensationalized claims or imagery that the Destination does not deliver on.
  • Comparative claims naming a competitor require substantiation and may be subject to publisher restrictions.

1.6 AI-Generated and Synthetic Media

Ads using AI-generated or materially altered depictions of a real person’s voice or likeness must have documented rights to that use, and must include any disclosure required by applicable law or by the publisher. Deceptive synthetic depictions of real people, brands, or events are prohibited.

1.7 Enforcement

Previse’s rights to reject an Ad, suspend delivery, or terminate for a Policy violation are set out in Master Terms §3.4 and §8.3. Repeated violations of the same Policy after notice may result in termination of the Agreement.

2.3 Content and Safe Areas

  • Keep text, logos, and legal disclosures inside the title-safe area (inner 90% width / 90% height); overscan clips edges on many TVs.
  • Minimum legible text height: 24 px at 1080p. Avoid thin fonts and low-contrast text.
  • No flashing or strobing sequences that could trigger photosensitive reactions (comply with the Harding test where required).
  • No black frames longer than 0.5s at the start or end.
  • CTV ads are generally non-clickable. Drive response with QR codes, a memorable URL, or a search prompt. QR codes must be at least 200×200 px, held on screen for at least five (5) seconds, and placed inside the title-safe area.

2.4 Tags and Third-Party Serving

  • Preferred delivery is a hosted asset uploaded to the Previse platform.
  • VAST 4.x tags accepted where the publisher supports them; VPAID is not supported on CTV.
  • Third-party impression trackers must be HTTPS and are subject to publisher approval and Previse’s approval, per Master Terms §6.2.
  • Advertiser selects its measurement partners in the Previse platform from those the Service supports.

2.5 Localization and Accessibility

  • Provide separate assets per language; do not burn in multiple languages.
  • Closed captions or burned-in captions are strongly recommended and may be required by individual publishers.

2.6 Submission

  • Advertisers upload their own creative through the Previse platform. Previse does not produce, adapt, or supply creative.
  • Upload the video file and the Destination, and be prepared to provide claim substantiation for any regulated category and any required legal or clearance documentation.
  • Ads do not deliver until they pass ad review (Master Terms, Section 3.4). Review is typically completed within one business day. Individual publishers may impose additional review, which can take longer.
  • Upload creative before the date on which delivery is required. Delivery cannot begin against an ad that has not cleared review.

PART 3. DATA AND TAGGING REQUIREMENTS

3.1Conversion Integration. A conversion-optimized campaign performs only when the Previse Pixel or an equivalent server-to-server integration is live and firing. Previse configures and validates this integration with Advertiser during onboarding.

3.2Restricted Data. Do not transmit any category of Restricted Data listed in Section 5 of Exhibit A to the Master Terms, including health, financial account, government identification, precise geolocation, biometric, and children’s data.

3.3Direct Identifiers. Normalize direct identifiers (email, phone) by lowercasing and trimming whitespace before transmission. Previse accepts them either hashed with SHA-256 or unhashed. Unhashed values are hashed on receipt, so server-side integrations such as a customer data platform or event-forwarding tool can send either format. An Order may specify otherwise.

3.4Consent Signals. The Previse Pixel is configured to respect applicable consent and opt-out signals.

3.5Changes to the Integration. Tell Previse before changing, moving, or removing the conversion integration. Undisclosed changes distort model training and degrade delivery.
